I found out I was pregnant with our first child September 2011. I was
so excited I could barely contain myself. Over the next few months I
diligently prepared for the arrival of our little baby. In my search for
birth tips I never once came across anything that was geared towards
how to have a birth that was Holy Spirit Centered. Sure, there is plenty
of weird spiritual birthing practices, hypnotism for you and for your
baby and tons of ways to have a so-called "pain free birth". What I
wanted was a way to turn what was probably the most challenging and
difficult event I had faced into one that honored God and drew me closer
to him.
I decided to write this blog not because I
had a perfect birth, because I certainly did not, but because I figured I
cannot be the only woman to search for ways to incorporate the Spirit
into their birth. My birth was not easy, but it was an act of Worship,
because I made my mind up to praise him through the storm. God worked an
AMAZING thing through my life during my birth. What he has done for me
he will do for you, because he is an impartial, prefect, and a loving
Father that cares deeply for his daughters and the children they bear.
Birth
can be a frightening and horrific event. There is more gore than a
horror movie that happens to our bodies, but we don't have to be afraid.
We don't have to let our bodies dictate how we feel. Sure, there will
be pain and probably some things we would like to not have to go
through, but HIS grace is sufficient.
Over the next
few posts I'll show you just how overly abundant His grace was for me
and how I put my pregnancy and birth in God's hands and am very grateful
I did.
So lets have some girl chat, some time in the Word, and a little fun while we're at it.
Blessings,
Joy
